OUR TEAM

At Harmony Inclusion we prioritize our employees’ well-being through giving them a voice (free and open lines of communication) and comprehensive training, including, but not limited to, state-mandated training (e.g., Danielle’s Law, HIB, CPR, workplace safety, etc.), as well as cultural sensitivity and competency, ethics, and safety training.  We also utilize a point-of-performance training system at the individual staff level. We deliver performance feedback that is developmental, precise, and designed to support positive behavior change. Growing and supporting our staff expands the positive experiences of our clients. Team-building activities can act as a means to ‘break the ice’ and build staff rapport, but open lines of communication and genuine consideration of each individual’s thoughts and ideas from management are what promote effective teamwork. People don’t quit jobs they love because the jobs are hard; they quit because of poor management and a feeling that they lack a voice.

Nicole Springer

Executive Administrator

Since the age of six, when Nicole Springer’s grandmother adopted an individual with special needs, Nicole has devoted herself to advocating for this population. She has been actively engaged in this field since 2007 and continues her efforts to this day. Nicole has established and fostered an environment for young adults with developmental disabilities that is characterized by structure, cleanliness, and organization. Currently, she serves as the Executive Administrative Director of Harmony Inclusion. In the summer of 2019, she began working at a group home, where she resided with her son and three clients. When the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a lockdown in March 2020, her family and the three clients remained confined to the home. During this period, they developed various activities, including vision boards, dance parties, themed dress-up glow stick parties, tie-dye shirt making, kickball, lengthy walks, outdoor picnics, gardening, food preparation, and movie nights. They also prepared weekly news reports documenting the activities of the house while ensuring the clients maintained their hygiene, chores, and behavioral management. Throughout the COVID-19 lockdown, Nicole and her family provided both physical and emotional support to the clients. It was during this challenging time that the vision for establishing a day program for individuals with special needs began to take shape for Nicole.
